Probably would be easier to buy a new one that to have it recoated. I dont’ even know what type of business does that. Can you send it back to the company for a replacement?

  • be_ez_2004 says:

it’s easier and safer to just go get a new one. You don’t want to continue cooking on that surface once it starts peeling.

No. You cant we had this same problem. Also since it just kind of wears off and not flake off or anything it is safe to continue using we still use ours and weve never had a problem with anything sticking and it doesnt come off on our food.

Yes, but the money you would spend having it recoated would buy many new grills. Teflon and similar coatings are usually done in high production environments. The manufacturers would not even consider it and the small companies who coat on a contract basis might do it but it would cost hundreds if not thousands of dollars. I have delt with the teflon coating process for several years. I would buy a new one.

    I just use cooking spray.

    I wouldn’t even try

Depends I guess in how tasty you find the coating you’ve already consumed. Throw the grill away and buy a high quality non-stick fry pan and a burger press. Same idea much better results.
